About Us

The 49th Halifax Heath U.R.C Scout Group meets at Heath United Reformed Church on Free School Lane and is open to boys and girls from all faiths and beliefs. Formed in 1930 the group been running continuously for 90 years providing Scouting to Savile Park and surrounding areas.

We currently have over 50 young people taking part every week in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Sections take part in regular meetings every week along with camps, day trips and activities throughout the year. Young people also have the opportunity to undertake International experiences as a part of the wider Scouting community.

This is only possible due a team of hardworking Leaders and Exec, who give up their time to support the young people and to teach skills they will be able to use throughout their lives.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
